Solar System Scope is a project created by SUNAEON that aims to show the solar system in an interactive way, where anyone can view the planets, the distance from each other and to see more closely how they are. The only requirements to successfully run the application in your browser is Adobe Flash.
To Use Solar System you just have to move through the solar system, this application is distributed in several languages and include Spanish and English. On the left side there is a small panel of tools that enhances or manages the different angles of view, as well as time zones. A good place to expand our list of “web sites to better understand our universe. ”
It’s a really nice site (and we love the background music by the way!). Even though it was made with Flash, the graphics are stunning. If you don’t use any buttons, the Flash animation automatily starts moving and showing you the different planets in the Solar System. The part of the planet that is turned towards to sun is lighted and the part that is turned away from the sun is dark, just as in real life. Really nice to see!
