Internet giant Google launched ”Google Wallet” today, the company worked together with financial partners Citibank and MasterCard and telecom ally Sprint.
“Your phone will be your wallet — just tap, pay and save,” says Stephanie Tilenius, vice president of commerce at Google. Adds Osama Bedier, vice president of payments at Google, “This is just the beginning. We plan to push the limit and innovate in that space.”

“Google Wallet will start with offers, loyalty and gift cards but some day items like receipts, boarding passes and tickets will all be seamlessly synced to your Google Wallet,” Google said in a blog post. This Google product is another step in Google’s strategy to make products everybody loves to use. And with this product, it adds another way to follow our every move. Now they not only know where we surf and on what adds we click, they also know what we purchase at what time and for what amount. Clever thinking Google!

The developers of Ava.K created a free Android app for your smartphone. It has a simple interface so you can easily play and search for music on public domains. We don’t know how they pay for the streaming of the music, but we do know it works! It has been updated a few months ago and we guess it’s being paid for by the ads being displayed on the screen. You need at least a GPRS connection and preferably a faster connection otherwise the music might be interrupted, because it needs to buffer the stream again.

A great feature is, that you can run multiple timers for several tasks. An alarm will warn you whenever the time has elapsed, for you to rush to do the next thing you were supposed to do.
